Emergency Rooms (ERs) provide the most comprehensive level of care for patients with life-threatening conditions such as heart attack, severe bleeding, or stroke. They also treat most non-life-threatening injuries such as broken bones or lacerations. We provide 24-hour service and are staffed by highly-trained medical professionals including doctors, nurses, technicians, and medical support staff.
Urgent Care, on the other hand, treats minor illnesses and injuries that need to be addressed within 24 hours but do not require ER-level attention. Common examples include colds and flu, sprains, minor cuts or scrapes requiring stitches, allergic reactions, or sore throats. These facilities operate during normal business hours and feature shorter wait times than traditional ERs. Doctors are available onsite to diagnose any condition requiring treatment, but typically refer more serious cases to an ER for further evaluation.
